Quote to Invoice

100% free to use. Built for South Africa's small businesses.

About Quote to Invoice

Quote to Invoice is a free quoting and invoicing tool for South African small businesses, freelancers and contractors. It is free because it was built to support businesses that are starting out, and a monthly fee taxes the one activity they cannot avoid.

Why it is free

Quote to Invoice was built to support small and upcoming South African businesses. Charging a monthly fee to send an invoice puts a cost on the exact activity a young business needs to do most, and takes it from the people least able to carry it.

So there is no subscription, no paid tier, and no usage cap that turns into a bill. A business sending four invoices a month and one sending four hundred pay the same amount, which is nothing.

What we do not do

Quote to Invoice is not accounting software. It does not keep a general ledger, produce annual financial statements or submit returns to SARS. It handles the documents you send to clients and the money they owe you.

If you need a full accounting package, you need an accountant and a different tool. We would rather say that plainly than sell you something that does not fit.

Built for South Africa, not localised for it

Rands and VAT

Rands and 15% VAT as the default, not a setting you have to find. Documents carry the fields SARS requires on a tax invoice.

Quotes before invoices

Most South African service work is quoted before it is done. The product is built around that sequence rather than treating quotations as an add-on.

Works on a phone

Quoting on site matters more here than a desktop-first product assumes. The whole application runs in a mobile browser.

Statements

South African finance departments ask for statements constantly. They are included, not a premium feature.

What we will not put on this website

User numbers we cannot verify

If we ever publish a figure for how many businesses use Quote to Invoice, it will be a real one.

Testimonials, awards or partner logos

None until they exist and the people quoted have agreed to be quoted.

Invented compliance rules

Anything we publish about SARS or the VAT Act is checked against the source and carries the date it was verified. Where we are unsure, we say so and point you at SARS.
